Learning & Caring. How we do things differently.
Learning & Caring.
Dog ownership is evolving, and day care providers have a significant input into the care and development of your pets. Dog owners need more than just another dog lover - who doesn’t understand their dogs needs and doesn’t have the ability to shape their learning and development. Dog owners also want more direct input and visibility on their dogs learning than an intensive board and train can provide.
Pure Canine has been designed to give dog parents more - a higher quality of care and attention on a day to day basis. Quality professional car and development for every dog. Learning that you can be a part of every day - and continue to practice in your own time.
Run by a Professional Trainer - for a much higher quality of care, learning and development for every dog.
There’s a huge difference between boarding your pet with someone who ‘loves dogs’, and a trained professional who actually understand their needs. There’s also a huge difference between your dog being cared for by the businesses owner, and the work experience kid.
As a small, family run business - Owner Ste Crane looks after every dog in his care personally, and is directly responsible for their learning and development. Which means that you can have confidence not only in the quality and experience of care that your dog is receiving, but the benefit of what they’re learning too.
Pure Canine nurtures calm, confident, friendly and sociable dogs that pick up good habits and learn lifelong skills. Every dog receives direct support and guidance every day - to make good decisions and grow as an individual.
Designed in consultation with behaviourists - to be less daycare and more private school. Because your dog is much smarter than a baby, and always learning - even when they’re not in your care.
We know that we have a huge responsibility for what your dog learns and how they grow in our care. Behaviourists know that a poorly run daycare - huge groups of dogs crowded in a room, with no proper exercise beyond playing and competing with each other - can be a hotbed for behavioural issues. That’s why we run things differently.
We know that a daily structure of proper exercise and learning drains energy, before more relaxed social interaction. Calmer dogs get on better together - and we know that it’s better to have a small number of dogs - with owners who all share the same goals - to help every dog succeed.
The best parts of a Board and Train programme in a more accessible format.
Professional, One to One training that you can do with your dog is the gold standard, but it can be a big commitment to attend regularly - and it requires a lot of your own time and input to help you develop the skillset of a professional trainer.
Board and Train programmes have the opposite problem - they offer a completely hands off learning system where parents learn very little, and there is no guarantee that your dog will benefit from an intensive system of learning that can be very expensive.
We believe that a day boarding service run by a professional trainer incorporates some of the best elements of both - intensive daily input similar to ‘Board and Train’, and a dog you can still have at home with you every day, and homework you can practice regularly at your own pace.
